CAR SHOW
FEATURING A VARIETY OF MINI- ELECTRIC VEHICLES!
We will feature
the City of Oconomowoc street legal NEV's (Neighborhood Electric Vehicle), a street legal Geo Metro conversion and a City Car (electric vehicle from the 1970's). Learn more about plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) by talking with WPPI Energy who had one of the first PHEV's made in the Midwest!


Ride on "PEDAL POWER" and learn how much energy it  takes to light an incandescent light versus a LED light.


Energy Fair will be located in a tent next to the field house and the high school solar panels (located at the tennis courts).

Continuous entertainment will be happening at the third annual fun-filled, family Community Harvest Event.

On-Stage Entertainment:

11:00-11:45 - Western Waukesha County Dog Training Club
12:00-12:45 - Mad Science of Waukesha County
1:00-1:45 - Snyder Stars - Baton Twirlers
2:00-2:45 - Lake Country Conservatory of Music Students
3:00-3:45 - Thomas Montney, songwriter and singer

Business Mascots will be roaming around the event throughout the day.

  • Maxx-A-Million - First Bank Financial Centre - 11 am to 12:30 pm
  • Mr. Pig - Fox Brothers Piggly Wiggly - 1:00 to 2:00 pm
  • Scoopie - Culvers - 2:00 to 3:00 pm

Pumpkin Decorating: outside at the Ewald Automotive Group booth - all day or until the pumpkins run out.

Roaming actors:  from Theatre on Main and the Northern Horde - 16th Century Living History Troupe.

Free Mini-presentations and demonstrations will be held throughout the event for both the enjoyment and education of attendees. 

The Oconomowoc Fire Department will have equipment outside for attendees to view.


FOOD FAIR - TASTE OF OCONOMOWOC

A new addition to the Community Harvest event is a mini-Taste of Oconomowoc. Chamber member food establishments and organizations will sell a variety of food for your eating pleasure. To date, those participating include:

  • Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly - Serving their famous Brats & Hot Dogs and Water
  • Winestein's Café & Wine Market - Serving Winestein's Bruschetta and LaBerk Wrap Sandwiches
  • Rocky Rococo - Serving Pizza Slices and Breadsticks
  • Quiznos Subs - Serving their famous Subs Box that includes Chips and a Cookie
  • Kiwanis Breakfast Club - Serving Carmel Apples, Nachos and Soda


EMPLOYMENT FAIR

Attention Applicants!  Businesses will be recruiting, and/or accepting applications/resumes during the Employment Fair being held in conjunction with the Community Harvest Expo sponsored by the Oconomowoc Area Chamber of Commerce. The event will be held on Sunday, October 11 from 11 am to 4 pm at Oconomowoc High School, 641 E. Forest Street in Oconomowoc.

Among the businesses participating in the Employment Fair are

  • Rogers Memorial Hospital
  • Target Distribution Center

Job seekers should bring their resumes to distribute to the participating businesses. An Employment Opportunity sign will identify employment Fair booths.
