The Oconomowoc Area Chamber of Commerce specializes in supporting local businesses through promotional and marketing tools, efforts that create a strong business environment, networking opportunities to grow professional connections and educational programming.

Established in 1969, we are a 501(c)(6), nonprofit, member-based business organization. The Chamber is not affiliated with, or a department of, any governmental or other agency. Our mission is financed through membership investments (dues) and other revenue sources.

Membership in our Chamber is strongly encouraged, strictly voluntary and an investment in the present and future success of Oconomowoc.

Our membership is 350+ strong and includes businesses and organizations of every size in every sector. Through Chamber membership, small and large businesses, professionals, organizations, and individuals accomplish collectively more than any could do individually.  The strength of our Chamber lies in our member businesses and organizations.

Any business or individual with an interest in improving their business, the local business climate, and our community is eligible to become a member of our Chamber of Commerce. All opportunities for membership are available to all employees of every member business.

How we support our members' success

Our work focuses providing value to our members in four strategic area: Promotion, Advocacy, Networking, and Education. 

  • Promotion: Includes development and execution of marketing and promotional tools our members can use to enhance their customer base and visibility.
  • Advocacy: Creates a strong business environment through community and educational partnerships, the Oconomowoc Chamber of Commerce Foundation, special projects, shop local and workforce development efforts. 
  • Networking: Provides opportunities for business people and leaders to grow the professional networks that support success.  
  • Education: Develops professional and leadership capacity through a variety of educational events and seminars including the Business Over Breakfast series.
