Poetry Reading and Panel Discussion with
Cristina Norcross, Stephen Anderson, and DeWitt Clinton
Saturday, November 9th
6:30 p.m.
Books & Company 1039 Summit Ave Oconomowoc, WI

Join us for a lovely evening with local poets Cristina Norcross, Stephen Anderson, and DeWitt Clinton, who will be sharing work from their latest books!  There will be a Q&A session after the reading with the theme: “Finding Your Tribe: Building a Supportive Writing Community.”

About the authors: Cristina M. R. Norcross is the founding editor of the online poetry journal, Blue Heron Review, and lives in Wisconsin with her husband and their two sons.  She is the author of 8 poetry collections. Her latest book is Beauty in the Broken Places, and one of her poems from this book was nominated for the Pushcart Prize.  Cristina's works have been published, or are forthcoming, in numerous North American and international journals. Cristina is the co-founder of Random Acts of Poetry and Art Day (celebrated annually on February 20th).

Stephen Anderson is a Milwaukee poet whose work has appeared in numerous print and online journals. Many of Anderson’s poems have been featured on the Milwaukee NPR-affiliate WUWM Lake Effect Program. He is the author of Montezuma Resurrected And Other Poems (2001) and The Silent Tango of Dreams (2006 chapbook), and several of his poems appeared in the poetry collection, Portals And Piers (2012). Because of a particular set of life experiences, Anderson considers himself a poet with a global perspective rather than a regional poet. His poetry collection, Navigating in the Sun, was published by Finishing Line Press in July, 2015, and his first book-length poetry collection, In The Garden Of Angels And Demons, was published by Aldrich Press/Kelsay Books in March, 2017. His most recent full-length collection, The Dream Angel Plays The Cello, was published by Aldrich Press/Kelsay Books in February 2019.

DeWitt Clinton is the author of three books of poetry:  The Conquistador Dog Texts and The Coyot. Inca Texts (New Rivers Press), At the End of the War (Kelsay Books, 2018), and a fourth collection is in production:  On a Lake by a Moon: Fishing with the Chinese Masters, (Is A Rose Press).  Recent poems of his have appeared in The Last Call: The Anthology of Beer, Wine & Spirits Poetry,  Santa Fe Literary Review, Verse-Virtual, New Verse News, Ekphrastic Review, Diaphanous Press, Meta/Phor(e)Play, The Arabesques  Review, The New Reader Review, and a few poems based on Classical Chinese poets will appear this fall in Poetry Hall, a Chinese/English poetry journal.
