ELIZABETH LETTS- author of Finding Dorothy and The Perfect Horse
Saturday, February 17th   2:00 p.m.
Oconomowoc Public Library
  200 W South St,  Oconomowoc

We are very excited to bring Elizabeth Letts to the Oconomowoc Public Library for her new novel Finding Dorothy. As some may know, Oconomowoc hosted the world premiere of The Wizard of Oz in 1939!

This richly imagined novel tells the story behind The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the book that inspired the iconic film, through the eyes of author L. Frank Baum's intrepid wife, Maud. Set against the back drop of her growing friendship with Judy Garland as the movie is being filmed.  Finding Dorothy is the result of Letts' journey into the amazing lives of Frank and Maud Baum. Written as fiction but based closely on the truth, Elizabeth Letts' new book tells a story of love, loss, inspiration, and perseverance, set in America's heartland.

About the Author: The author of two New York Times bestselling nonfiction books , The Eighty-Dollar Champion and The Perfect Horse, Elizabeth Letts is a master at discovering and researching a rich historical story and transforming it into a page-turner. She lives in Southern California and Northern Michigan.
