Spring Concert with the 2019 Chatfield Award Presentation

With the Oconomowoc Community Choir & The Silver Lake Singers

TICKETS: $28 Adults | $14 Students

The OCO is happy to announce two new compositions that are written for Lake Country. Enabled by the Imagine A Day Foundation, a work for Choir and Orchestra will feature the poem 'Imagine A Day' by Courtney Bella and concepts/thoughts about life in and about the greater Oconomowoc area written by composer Brian Wilbur Grundstrom and lyrics by Bob Barnett. The concert will feature a String Quartet/String Orchestra arrangement of the Fanfare for Lake Country to herald the release of the Chatfield Instruments, a locally made matched string quartet, that have been in restoration for 3 years. A work by Brian entitled 'Celebration' will also be performed. The 2019 Chatfield Awards will be presented, music of Mozart sung by the Oconomowoc Community Choir and the Silver Lake Singers, 'The Heavens are Telling' from Haydn's Creation, Elgar's Introduction & Allegro and the Wizard of Oz Medley are in this exquisitely packed program! Concert is at 4:00pm at the OAC.At 3:30, there will be a pre-concert event in the lobby of the Arts Center featuring artwork based on Lake Country, a performance by members of the OHS Orchestra, Fanfare for Lake Country Instrumental Arrangements performed on the Chatfield Instruments, and a display about the Chatfield Instruments.

Imagine A Day... In Lake Country

The Oconomowoc Chamber Orchestra, with sponsorship by the Imagine A Day Foundation, is commissioning composer Brian Grundstrom to write a piece for the OCO and the Oconomowoc Community Choir. We are reaching out to the community, all ages, and students from the surrounding school districts, to understand what being in Lake Country and Oconomowoc means to you! Your artwork and photos can be a part of the OCO's 'Imagine A Day... in Lake Country' project for the April 14th Concert. If you have a favorite memory, place or scene, we welcome it for the event!

 

Visit ImagineADayLakeCountry for a registration form. The DEADLINE has been extended to March 10, 2019.

 

Milk Moola Caps!!

The OCO is registered for the Kwik Trip Milk Moola Program. Between now and March 10, save your caps and send them to the OCO at PO Box 394 Oconomowoc, WI 53066 or drop them off in the OAC lobby near the Chatfield display case. The program  endis on March 31, so caps must be in by March 15. The caps say 5 Cents on them. Other food items include orange juice, from 100% juice concentrate, Nature’s Touch Drinking Water, Nature's Touch Egg Nog (seasonal), Kwik Quencher® Iced Tea – Gallons and Kwik Quencher Lemonade – Gallons, *Sizes include: Bags, gallons, ½ gallons, quarts, pints and ½ pints. Sizes do vary per product, always be sure to look for the Milk Moola logo on the cap or bag top. Proceeds benefit the Chatfield Instruments and award.
