OHS Players present ‘Stage Door’ at the OAC

7 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, May 2, 3, 4

2 p.m. Saturday, May 4

Under the direction of Tiersa Ferraro, “Stage Door” is set in the Depression era at a crowded boarding house in New York City, where a bevy of aspiring young women with stars in their eyes, live, work and scramble to make it onto the Great White Way. Considered “a valentine to the legitimate stage,” George Kaufman and Edna Ferber’s witty, fast-paced and poignant play is an important marker in American stage history.

Featuring nearly two dozen female characters as they bob and weave in and out of their often frenetic living arrangements within the Footlights Club, and a gaggle of gentlemen callers who come and go, the show offers a colorful carnival of interweaving stories and creative characterizations.

Reserved seating tickets for “Stage Door” are $15 for adults and $12 for high school students and younger and military personnel with ID. For information and to purchase tickets, call the OAC Box Office at 262-560-3172 or visit www.theoac.net.
